This is a PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) recognised and certified course, aimed at non-medically trained people. It will teach participants how to respond to life- threatening emergencies, including Cardiac Arrest and Choking as well as Heart Attacks and Stroke. A CFR Community Responder will be trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and taught how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) where someone has suddenly collapsed

A CFR Community Responder plays a critical role in keeping a person alive until the commencement of expert medical care.

The Course will cover;

  • Patient Assessment

  • Activating Emergency Services

  • Recognition of Cardiac Arrest, Heart Attack, Stroke and Chocking

  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

  • Treatment of Choking

  • Safe administration of Aspirin
